PROGRAMS ✦ . ⁺
For drawing I use Procreate on my iPad; I've been using it for years and can confidently reconmmend  it to anyone who wants to draw digitally if you're willing to spend a tiny bit of money (around £10), but if you want a free alternative I'd go for Ibis Paint X.

ANIMATION ✦ . ⁺
For normal animation I use Toonsquid on my iPad. It's a really good software (paid but regardless) that's easy and fun to use in my opinion. For sprite animation I use Adobe Animate; it's good for what it is and gets the job done pretty well, but if you are to get it, pirate it. Adobe as a company SUCKS.

PIXEL ART ✦ . ⁺
I use Aseprite for pixel art. I have nearly 3,000 hours in the software alone and can confidently recommend it to anyone (it is paid though)
